COUNSELING STYLE
I believe that people have an innate ability to change their lives when provided with an opportunity to feel genuinely understood, explore their values, and address and accept their feelings. My part in that process is to provide them with a safe, nonjudgmental, and validating space. I like to keep my sessions comfortable and casual, and even humorous. Therapy can be really intimidating and scary, and I want to do my part to make it more approachable and accessible.
I use a person centered theoretical approach, as well as relying on the therapeutic techniques of ACT, relational cultural trauma therapy and somatic techniques.
If you are interested in meeting with me to learn more about my style, I offer 15 minute free consultations.
