COUNSELING STYLE
I approach counseling from a person centered perspective, with an emphasis on relational-cultural theory. I believe that people have an innate ability to change their lives when provided with an opportunity to explore, address, and accept their feelings, emotions, and values. My part in that process is to provide them with a safe, nonjudgmental, and validating space. I believe that healing is found through reconnecting with our mind and body, our culture and our community, and telling our stories in ways that genuinely reflect who we are.
